- Although our physical welfare is essential, an often overlooked essential for life was expressed by Jesus Christ nearly 2000 years ago when he said, It is written: Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."
Many people have not recognized that God is the Author of His Word recorded in the Scriptures and that His Word has integrity. Thus they have not recognized God's divine purpose as He has expressed it in His Word. To understand God's purpose in Christ, we need to understand what the Scriptures say without adding other opinions and beliefs that have come from some other source.
Another essential expressed by Jesus was, "Except a man be born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God." This new birth is essential for seeing the kingdom of God.
God has given us all that we need in His Word and in the new birth to live triumphantly in Christ. If we desire to see the power of God at work in our lives, then we need to become convinced of God's Word and of what He has given to us in the new birth.
